Question:

I have a small pond of smelly water in the far corner of the weepimg bed. I have had the house for three years and it was a little spongy before but we cut down a tree that was very close to it and it has gotten worse. Some of the people I talk to tell me not to call anyone in cause they could make me replace the whole thing and that is not something I can afford right now.

Answer:

I wonder if the people you talked to had taken your health into consideration before advising you. Sooner or later you'll have to call somebody in because you may find yourself in a position in December where you can no longer flush anything into the system. You don't want to be there!

In the interests of retaining credibility and in fairness to all, I cannot recommend prices, people nor companies for various projects.

Remember, even if you don’t do your own work around the house have to hire someone, you put yourself at a great advantage when you can intelligently discuss a project with the various trades people.
