Top > Plumbing > Condensate

Question:

In our upstairs bathroom (actually the wall between 2 bathrooms), it always sounds like water is dripping/leaking, however there is no sign of water damage (ie: ceilings, floors, etc.). What could be this noise? Would we have to rip out one of the walls? Is this common?

Answer:

This is quite common and it is usually nothing more than a bit of condensation in the plumbing stack which is not perfectly plumb so water drips rather than running down the walls of it.
