I installed a new bathroom tap last fall. When I removed the old one the shut off (hot tap) was leaking and broke in the process of trying to stop the leak. The thing broke near the nut so the pipe had to be cut so it got replaced as well. The problem I have had since then is that the hot water has no pressure, the cold is fine and the pressure is fine at the tub and kitchen sink. Is this a tap washer problem or the shut-off valve problem. We are on an underground spring well.
Answer:
I have a feeling that when you added to the pipe that had to be cut, you left a gob of solder inside and that is restricting water flow.
