Question:

I don't have any cold water. I live in the country. The well pressure is o.k. so perhaps the pipes are frozen. I have a crawl space which is rather cold because the heaters were turned off. bad bad bad. Turned them on at 2 a.m. this morning.

Answer:

We turn heaters off during the summer! During the winter we leave them on and even then, we wrap the water lines with an electrical heating element just to make sure that they don't freeze. If you're gong to thaw them out, use a heat gun and work from the well toward an open tap not the other way 'round.
