Question:

It appears my bathroom tub drain is leaking around the seal between the tub and the tailpiece. It only leaks when one is having a bath. How do you remove the tub tailpiece in order to re-putty it? The drain is the 'pop-up' sytle.

Answer:

This is best done from underneath the tub but before trying that, I'd get a 'tub wrench' and try tightening it. Who knows, it might work and avoid you having a ceiling repair job underneath.
