We have tiny ants in the house. You mentioned once about a solution using icing sugar ad baking soda. Is this correct and in what mixture? Do you have any other solutions?
One other quick question. Our cold water pipes in the pump room sweat severly when it is humid out. Will water pipe insulation help this or is it only for insulating hot water.
Answer:
To do away with ants and other creepy crawlies in and around the house, I’ve found that a 50/50 mixture (half teaspoon each) of baking soda and icing sugar placed in a shallow container (margarine lid) works very well. When the problem is outside, placing a quarter-inch diameter pebble in the centre of the tray will keep a board or some such placed over it high enough so the bugs can get in but the rain will not.
Water pipe insulation becomes a necessity when your pipes sweat and it works very well.
