I have a kitch. single handle water faucet, lift and move left/right for desired temp, also has the side sprayer. When you put it to the right for HOT water and when the water is HOT the faucet has a high pitched sound like singing/whinning. It only happens with the hot water side and when it is HOT. I have taken out the end that has the filter and cleaned the area and spout but this annoying sound still appears.

You may have to put a new kit into it. Something appears to be wearing and there is no such thing normally, as repair. The kits are inexpensive.
