I have a black plumbing pipe that leaks at the joint and I think the plumber may have forgot the contact cement on this one.It's really hard to get at to try and fix properly. Is there a sealant I can put around the joint?

There really isn't a good way to do it without first picking it apart but I've some success just putting more ABS glue on the outside of the joint and hoping for the best. On a drainage line, because there's no real pressure on it, it sometimes works.
