We have a fifty ft. well and right now there is a 1/3 horsepower convertible jet pump on it that is not working properly. We have been told different opions as to which is better a submersible or a jet pump to replace it. We have never lived in the country so we have alot to learn as we are finding out.

Talk to the people who are going to sell you the pump. I prefer the submersible but depending on where you live, the service available, etc. your situation might differ.
