Question:

Two weeks ago we had to put in a new well because our old one went dry. We have alot of water in the new well but the pump has not worked properly since the old well. We are having trouble regulating the pressure in the pump (30/50). The pressure is going down to 20, and then the water completely stops coming out of the taps for about one minute before the pump kicks in again. We have put new points and a new pressure gauge on the pump and it is still doing the same thing.

Answer:

Thee appears to be something caught in the line leading to the pressure gauge or the thing is defective. If the water is there, the pump reacts only to that gauge.
