My oven is overheating and I was wondering what could be wrong with it. I put it on Broil and it works fine. I put it at 350 and put an oven thermometer in the oven and it showed 450 when I brought the dial down to 150, the thermometer shower 350. Do you know what could be wrong with it?

Your oven control is obviously at fault and will probably be less expensive to replace than to repair.
