I have a small cabin (20x25), inside the ceiling is about 7' - which leaves an attic crawl space which I have insulated. I've put a whirly bird in the roof for ventilating the attic. What I'm wondering is, if it would be possible to attach a series of ducts to a whirly bird to provide ventilation to the living space of the cabin. I've no power and was wondering if a whirly bird would be powwerful enough to act as a type of exhaust fan?
Answer:
What you describe is the only practical use for the turbine vent you have. It can be used as you describe to ventilate a whole house from the basement right up through the second floor and the attic too.
