Question:

We live in a 20yr old home with 200+ deep well with submersible pump. We have no problems with pressure (system is set at 40/60) and volume, but the pump controller has been tripping at least once a day lately. We can reset it with a few tries and volume/pressure are right back as before, except with a bit of air in the lines for the first few seconds. What could be causing this?

Answer:

you seem to be talking about a water shortage or a footvalve that is telling you that its getting tired. You might want a pro to take a look at it before going ahead with dis-assembly.
