I live in a bungalow. Main level is ceramic tile. Laundry room is on the main level off the kitchen. When I run the washing machine (spin cycle), the floor shakes and the cupboards rattle. I have checked the balance and it seems to be ok. Also, they are brand new machines. I am just wondering what I can do to cut down on the shaking / noise. Do I or can I place wooded sheets under the machines to cut down on the vibration ? Or do I need a new floor ?
Answer:
Actually, what you'll have to do is move the machines either to another location where the supporting joist work underneath has more integrity or move them right down to the basement floor.
