Question:

I have an HRV installed and it has a plastic tube to drain away excess moisture. A hole was drilled into the basement floor about 6 inches from the wall and the tube is placed in it. The moisture does not dissipate properly and comes back up the hole. I have a flow-through type of humidifier on the furnace about 15 feet away and do not seem to have any problem there with water coming back up through the floor.

Answer:

The hole you drilled through the concrete should take care of the run-off and if it doesn't, you might try going deeper with something of lesser diameter. If nothing else works, get in touch with the people who installed the HRV.
