Question:

The pipe from my sump pump bangs like crazy when the pump turns off. Its clamped in place tightly. Any suggestions? It never used to do this it just started.

Answer:

Its possible that it is not sitting flat on the floor of the sump hole. You might also try replacing the first foot or two (at the pump end) with a rad hose and clamps. This also makes it easier to change in case of an emergency.
