Question:

We are having a new bungalow built by one of the larger builders here in Ottawa, Ontario. We would like your opinion on HRV systems and if we should consider one for the new house?

Answer:

I'd want something in writing guaranteeing that I'll get my investment back out of it in five years or less. If that's not forthcoming, I really don't want to pay for something else in the house that will need regular maintenance only to blow expensive air at me.
