I am buying a new home and want to install an HRV or ERV. I am getting conflicting advice from sales people about which is best in our climate and would like some independent advice from someone who is not a salesperson. Also, I would like to know which brand is the best one to get.

In fairness to all I stay away from recommending people, products or companies but to help you decide on whether you want ERV or HRV,you have to determine how much you're paying for heat in your particular area and do your calculations from there.
