Question:

After a shower recently, the ceiling fan began to leak water. Its January and the weather was extremely cold for about 7 days. Also, lots of snow fell. Taking off the cover, I noticed water about the edges of the box. Where would this water come from?

Answer:

This is condensation and is a good indicator that your duct for that fan is lacking insulation. It needs a lot of insulation.
