i am building a 14' by 14' shed. i want to make the roof pitch 4/12. how long will my 2x4 supports have to be to give me a little overhang. would 93" 2x4s do it?

8' will barely reach. You'd be better off with 10' rafters and at the same time, perhaps add a bit of style with the greater soffit depth.
