Question:

Im looking at buying a older side split my wife wants the living room dining and kitchen renovated into a vaulted ceiling. Can the roof trusses be modifyed to incorporate the changes without removal of the whole roof structure

Answer:

No, they cannot. The existing roof will have to come off and the new installed according to calculated specifications.

In the interests of retaining credibility and in fairness to all, I cannot recommend prices, people nor companies for various projects.

Remember, even if you don’t do your own work around the house have to hire someone, you put yourself at a great advantage when you can intelligently discuss a project with the various trades people.
