Question:

As a long time listener I have appreciated a lot of your hints and tricks. Now it’s my turn to come up with a problem. I have one of those garden sheds made of metal. It is 12’ X 12’ and has sliding doors. The shed is about 10 years old, but seems to have a few more years of life in it. However, the roof started to leak and I feel silly, covering the lawnmower, inside a shed, to keep it dry. I have spent hours, with tubes of Silicone, trying to seal the leaks. (which are not obvious) Is there a product, like a membrane, which I can put over the whole roof Ridges and seams and all, just sealing the edges?

Answer:

About all I can suggest is that you dismantle the roof, get rid of the various sealants that are not working and then re-assemble it. You may have to put in a extra beam on each side of the centre pole to get the sags out.
