Question:

I have noticed leaks on our covered porch. We have had the ceiling checked already. It seems to be around the pillars. Should I remove the caulking and replace it? How to i check ?

Answer:

You'll have to remove at least a bit of the ceiling to see where the leak is coming from. Do not be surprised if you end up tracking it right back to where the roof meets the main structure. This is normally where it starts and the posts are normally at the lowest part of the structure so water flows to them. Only after you find it will you be able to determine what to seal it with.
