We moved into a century home with an addition put onto it in 1993. The old roof line meets with the new roof line at a 90 degree angle and there are serious ice dams which form where the two meet and along the new addition. We have a metal roof and no attic. What can we do to stop the ice dams?
Answer:
That transition will have to be addressed once all the snow is gone because ventilation appears to be the major culprit here.
