I have a 2 story barn, with oak floor planks upstairs where I store antique vehicles. Since I want to head the upstairs space, I want to find an economic way to put in dropped ceiling tiles which must be insulated, thereby avoiding dropping the celing in a traditional way with sheet rock and R30 insulation above. Celing space I need to insulate is 90 x 24 ft. The space is an open barn at this time with a high center., cathedral type peak. If such tiles exist, how do I get hold of them.
Answer:
To the best of my knowledge, these panels do exist and about the best way to get access to them is via a manufacturer of conventional ceiling panels.
