We are about to build in our basement. We thought about laying all our ceramic tile first and then building the walls on top of the ceramic since this would be easier. Is there any reason why we should build our walls first and then lay the ceramic tile? To make this a little more interesting, we are also hoping to install radiant heat under the ceramic.

Your heating system will make it all the more important to frame first and then keep the ceramics a half inch or so away from the finished wall surface. Should you ever develope a problem with the heating system, its easier to remove tiles that don't reach under anything that is supposed to be there perminantly.
