Question:

Driveway was poured and started flaking the following spring, and has continued every year till I sealed it this past summer. Used a 50-50 mixture of boiled linseed oil and kerosene oil the flaking has stopped. Do I have to repeat this procedure and how often?

Answer:

If you notice the heavily used portion of it starting to spall again you might want to re-apply the mixture but I haven't heard of having to do it more than once. Apply it only where you need it because you can go through a lot of methyl hydrate getting rid of the stuff that won't cure.
