Question:

What is the the best detail, as in stud configuration, for creating a 45° angled wall.

Answer:

If you want it to be 45-degrees, your best bet is to find the formula for bisecting an angle. Its very simple and you might even remember it from your grade-school geometry classes but it takes more space to explain than I am prepared to devote to it here. After you've done that, your next concern will be applying the drywall and while the sheets themselves don't present a problem, taping and jointing will be a bit crowded on the inside corner.
