Question:

My neighbour and I are in the process of trying to get our semi-detached houses severed, so I telephoned the City of Ottawa (Ontario) to find out what I needed to get done. A very helpful gentleman informed me that the first thing I need to do is have a sewer line inspection to determine if we have separate sewer lines. One of the companies I found also said I would require a 'flush' to clean out the sewer line which would cost me $75/hr with a two hour minimum charge. I am hoping you will be able to tell me if a 'flush' is required

Answer:

A flush should not be necessary and neither should the video. There have to be experienced plumbers who can answer your question for considerably less money than that. What did we do before the videos were available?
