I have just purchased a nice 50 acre farm. I also wish to paint the buildings as they are metal buildings and need a new coat can you suggest a good quality exterior paint remembering this is for a barn?

Exterior is exterior whether its a barn, shed or house. Metal is something else though. You'll want to know what kind of metal, how it was treated in the past and then, what will prime it best. The primer will dictate what you use to finish the job with.
