Question:

What is the best way to remove lino from a floor. We will be putting new lino down

Answer:

From a wood base, it is best to use a wide-mouthed prybar and remove the 1/4" underlayment. With it will come the tiles. If its on concrete, rent a tile chipper and you'll get a good job.
