Question:

During the last wind storm a few days ago,
3 shingles had blown off my roof. I still
have the old shingles underneath so it
is not bare to the wood. I'm wondering
what I should do until I can afford a
new roof next year. Am I ok to leave it
the way it is because of two layers of
shingles on my roof or should I get it
patched.

Answer:

I'd rather use a putty knife to lift the shingle tabs above the missing ones and insert new ones as a temporary measure. You can buy them to match almost the colour of the old ones. I would not leave them as they are.
