Question:

The room is tiled. I have a piece of new carpet and foam underpad that is bigger than I need. What is the best way to cut it to fit and what are the tools and other pieces I might need to do the job. ie: stretching the carpet. etc.

Answer:

You can cut both carpet and underpad with a sharp utility knife but you'll also need some way of holding the carpet in place - tackless stripps or two-sided tape or some such. You can rent a knee kicker to stretch it into place after you have one side attached.
