Question:

I need your help as I want to surprise my husband with a cordless drill for his birthday in September. He only has the old corded style and I know he would love a good cordless one but I am clueless as to brand, features etc. This would be used for regular household use I don't want to throw money away by getting one a professional builder would require but neither do I want to waste money on a cheap one that may be more bother than it is worth. I seem to recall some time ago my hubby said it would have to be at least ? volts...I can't remember! Help! I hope you can educate me on this. If you can email me back I would really appreciate it.

Answer:

I have several of them and the one I get most use out of is a 6 Volt unit that re-charges quickly and has as much power and endurance as I need for most things. The cost was about $30.00. You can get them from $10.00 2.? V units to the professional one I bought at a real bargain for something under $300.oo but it sells for almost twice that.
