Question:

Given that one should remove the stipple from the ceiling when installing crown moulding, how does one go about installing the crown moulding. Are there more ways than one to do an installation of crown moulding? If so, what is your recommendation?

Answer:

My recommedation is to do it with 2" nails in an air nailer and drive all of them at opposing angles. I also suggest you use a lot of nails so at least some of them will go into wood behind the drywall. If you can find the studs, its good to dirve them into there too.
