I was given a very old hand saw that looks like it was probably used in the bush by lumber jacks. I'm trying to find out the name of the saw & any other info about it. The saw has one wooden "D" shaped handle. Its approx. 5 ft. long with very coarse teeth approx. 1" long. I'd appreciate any info. so I can put it on display with the rest of my collection.

I've removed enough rust (and 'age') from metal by using a 'rust grinding wheel' (available at most hardware stores) on the bench grinder to bring out a lot of the faint print. An antique frying pan for instance, that had raised lettering giving the manufacturer's name, gave up the actual foundry name and location along with the model number this way. I didn't really expect that when I started cleaning it up.
