The previous owners of our house glued a 4' x 8' piece of cork board on the wall. When I tried to get the cork off, there were ridges of brown glue left. Is there a way to dissolve this glue or do I have to sand this off. Tell me there is a magic wand that I can wave to get rid of this stuff, please!
Answer:
There is a magic wand but it won't do a darn thing to this adhesive. Your best bet is to use a 3" putty knife on it and hope for the best. Once you're done, you'll have some repairs to do and drywall joint compound is the best thing for it.
