is tehre a way to cut an exisiting laminate counter top so the cut surface would be smooth? I think I once heard you can reverse the blade on a circular saw?
Answer:
Use a new 'smooth cut' blade in the circular saw and work with the laminate facing down so the teeth come up through it rather than the other way around. The backsplash cut will have to be finished with a handsaw and then sandpaper.
