Question:
1) old, flat, dry concrete floor in basement. 2) I removed old square linoleum tiles which left the glue on the concrete. looks like the yellow latex glue, not sure, 3) they were not self stick tiles as I can see the lines where the glue was spread. 4) want to put down new ceramic tiles on the concrete. 5) do I need to scarify the floor? if so, can I adjust the level so just the glue is removed? 6) room is 14 x 14. 7) will the floor need to be built up, or will the new "adhesive" be enough to level the effects of the scarification? 8) other suggestions welcome
Answer:
I'd rather use a tile chipper that you rent. It will take the old adhesive off and not damage the concrete.
