My garage used to be a carport and it has a slanting floor which causes the water to be trapped in a corner. I'd like to level the floor. The outside wall is concrete and about 24". There's about a 3 to 4" difference from one side to the other. Would it be much of a problem to level it and could you tell me how to do it. An alternative would be to cut a small drain a couple of feet along the length of the floor so it would drain out the door.
Answer:
Actually, you don't have to go to all that trouble. No matter how slight, there will be a bit of a slope toward the front or back even along the low edge of the floor. Why not just core a couple of 1" holes in the lowest spot. Its not hard to tell where the water is deepest when its in there or where it takes longest to dry.
