I'm thinking on installing a roof exaust fan at the cottage.We have no ceilings,and we get a lot of heat from the roof in the hot weather.We have 2 roof vents on approx 250sq ft of decking,but they don't do much.I would install seilings and insulate the attic,but that would take a lot of work,not to mention cost.

You might be better off with a large diameter ceiling fan and a couple of screened gable end vents - effective and cheap.
