Top > Basement & Crawl Space > Odour

Question:

We would like to install some floor covering in the rec. room. The floor is painted concrete (has some cracks and is not entirely level) What would you recommend for floor covering, if anything?

Answer:

As long as you have that musty odour down there, do not put anything more that absorbs in there. The musty odour is actually from a form of mould that will just soak into everything. Once that's done, you can put down sheet vinyl flooring and are mats where you feel you need them.
