Top > Basement & Crawl Space > Follow-Up

Question:

Thanks for your prompt reply to my inquiries. As a follow up, it seems the Nat Res Counsel has said you can insulate right to the floor of a basement without causing frost problems. Why would they say you can do this if it will cause condensation problems Or. This came from one of your peers' websites quoting The NRC. Sorry to be pesky.

Answer:

You are not at all being pesky! They make thier decisions and live with them. I have never had a problem living with mine. If there was a problem, I'd expect an international radio show like mine would field at least some telephone calls dealing with it. This is, I believe, our ninth year of syndication and so far, it has not surfaced.
