Top > Basement & Crawl Space > Cold Room

Question:

I changed my entrance door because I thought the cold air was coming through the door, it is no better. So I believe the cold is coming from downstair at the cold room which is partially insulated. The house is about 29 years old originally owned by someone who used the cold room for produce etc.Do you have any suggestion to stop the cold cold cold at the entrance

Answer:

A return air grill somewhere in the front vestibule would go a long way toward exactly that; particularly if this entrance is near a staircase leading to an upper level. If the cold room is located under the front steps a return air duct is about the only thing that will help you.
