I have a 1950's house with a basement wall that was drywalled without insulation or vapour barrier several years ago. It blistered and I finally removed it to find it was very damp. I have dried the area and there are no external water leaks. I have very little room to finish it correctly, is there a internal concrete slab "sealer" product that I could use, that would allow me to put new drywall up against the slab without this problem re occurring.?
Answer:
There are all kinds of sealers on the market but until you ventilate your basment, the moisture (condensation) will keep coming back.
