Question:

We are putting in a finished office in and otherwise unfinished basement, and want to keep the humidity down especially during the summer. Is a dehumidifier the best option, or are there others.

Answer:

There are systems on the market that get rid of cool, moist, (basement) air without condensing it. They are called "Non condensing dehumidification systems". They tend to work better because they can bring the humidity level down to where you want it.
