Am going to take up the carpet on the basement floor and install something else.Am considering laminate flooring. Is this a good basement floor product? Can it be laid right on the concrete floor? Does there need to be a vapour barrier? Any preference for "glued" planking as opposed to "snap-together" planking? Listen to your show every Saturday morning,
Answer:
Certainly it can be laid directly onto concrete but you must remember to follow precisely the instructions that come with the product. I don't know that one type is any better than the other but I do know that if you violate manufacturer's instructions of installation, neither will be satisfactory to you.
