I would like to put about 800 sq, ft. of laminate flooring in the basement. A product called (?)raises the floor to provide an air space and vapour barrier. Is there a cheaper, similar way to achieve this.
Answer:
Let's start at the beginning. Is it necessary to raise the flooring. Is there a chance that moisture will develope under the flooring? If there is, I wouldn't dare install it because when moisture does develop, your new flooring becomes history. Peel & Stick vinyl asbestos tiles seem to avoid a lot of problems like this.
