I want to convert a single garage into a living space. Our house is a raised bungalow and the living room is currently above the garage. Where do I start & what do you recommend?
Answer:
If the garage ceiling is high enough, plan on creating an insulated and heated crawl space under it. If it isn't high enough, you'll probably have cold feet during the heating season. Once that's been addressed, its just a matter of finishing the room as you would any other room in the house.
