I have heard you speak about using a pool liner over the dirt instead of plastic, but, I am not going to find one in Regina, Saskatchewan this time of year. How about two layers of heavy plastic?

That's simple. Just use 6mm poly for now and over winter you can arrange to pick up a liner that has been replaced. They'll be happy to pass the old one on to you but make sure you have at least three strong individuals to carry it. You'll also be better off to put it into a trailer or pickup because it has quite a presence. Experience! Isn't it great!
